SOLD! 1998 Casita Spirit Standard 16' — new axle - $13,500 - Boulder, CO

During the pandemic, we took on the project of remodeling a 1998 Casita! What has our blood, sweat (and maybe a few tears) accomplished?

Well, since July of 2020, we have…

- Scrubbed, polished and waxed the exterior
- installed new 3500lb Dexter axle with lift
- put on new 225/75R15 tires
- installed new trailer brakes
- replaced trailer jack with "Ultimate" brand A-frame trailer jack
- replaced old “kick-stands” with BAL heavy duty C-style jacks
- replaced carpet with vinyl plank flooring
- painted all cupboards with Miracle Paint
- replaced old hinges and knobs
- sewed all new curtains
- sewed removable seat covers (original cushions and fabric still underneath)
- replaced old handle with updated paddle-style handle and deadbolt
- recovered door with dark gray carpet(the white carpet would easily look dirty)
- converted 4-person dinette into full-time, full-size bed with custom-fit memory-foam mattress (but we still have the old cushions if you want to convert it back)
- replaced broken refrigerator with slide-out cooler deck
- updated all lights with LED lights
- updated 12v outlets with USB charge ports and voltage meter
- installed new water pump
- replaced old faucets with one one new faucet (city water on left, water pump on right)
- replaced all exterior keyed cam locks with easy to open thumb cams.
- replaced gray water exit valve with easy to operate ball valve
- replaced propane regulator
- repaired and fiberglassed front window stone-guard
- replaced 12v battery
- replaced analog thermostat with new digital thermostat

Other details:
- working heater/AC
- working propane furnace
- sleeps 5 people
- couch converts into bunk beds
- side dinette converts to single bed
- back dinette converts to full-size bed
- there is no bathroom (and we preferred it that way)

By the way, before most of the remodeling, we took our Casita up to Glacier, Yellowstone, and several spots in Colorado.  She pulls amazingly well — you can hardly tell she’s back there.

We fell in love — so we even named her! We call her Casey, and we look forward to meeting whoever gets to call her their “home” next.

We have the title.
