SOLD - 1981 13ft Casita Patriot Standard - $5,750 - Albuquerque, NM

OWN A LITTLE PIECE OF CASITA HISTORY!

She is a 1981, 13foot, 1140 pound gem. Here is some background. First there was Boler in Canada, then Acorn/Scamp in MN, then in 1981 Don Eveland broke away from Scamp and started Casita in a tiny town in Texas. In 1983 the company failed and bankruptcy was declared. The company was purchased in a distress sale and moved to its current location in Rice Texas.

I have the title for the camper and it is currently registered in Minnesota.

My little nugget was manufactured in the 1981, the first year Casita’s were produced, in the period between Scamp MN and Casita Rice Texas. If i am interpreting the VIN information on the title correctly i am speculating that this was the 193rd Scamp produced. Definitely not in like new original condition but still plenty of original features left such as the bench seating that converts to a bed, the unit that created the kitchen, the front bench that converts to a small bed, the closet etc.

Some love and skill will be required. The wall carpet had been removed when i purchased the casita several years ago. I did a do-it-yourself solution that worked for a couple years but when i moved to the heat of New Mexico the glue failed last summer. (The brown wall you will see in the photos).Newer tires, faucet and propane lines were installed about 2 years ago. There is a spot under the front bench that holds a porta potty and there is a small air conditioner installed in the area that would have held a refrigerator. I will try to answer your questions….but don’t have much knowledge about trailers. The original roof vent and another cut out in ceiling are not repaired with fiberglass but with other materials and there have been no leaks from there. I enjoyed camping in her for awhile, but find i am not using the camper much and have to pay a high rent to store her so it is time to move on. I hope she finds a great home.

Located in Albuquerque. Will not hold for buyers with out a down payment. Cash only.
