(Editor's Note: We have confirmed with seller as of 11/14/2024 that the trailer is still available to purchase.)
I’m offering my 1974 Hunter 1 compact fiberglass trailer for sale. These are hard to find in good vintage condition. The camper is green and white, weighs approximately 1,000 pounds, is 13’ long and is super easy to tow with almost any vehicle.
The center section lifts up to provide plenty of headroom and ventilation with integrated screens on all sides. The kitchen is equipped with a stainless sink and a 2 burner stove. The original fridge was removed and a slide out drawer put in place which holds a cooler (not included).
Directly across is a closet with shelves for dishes and supplies as well as room for hanging clothes. A small window 110v air conditioner has also been installed and keeps the inside nice and cool!
I installed a permanent platform bed for a super comfortable memory foam mattress. I moved the table forward and put in cushions to create a comfortable dining area. The table and pedestal can be removed and stowed under the bed when not in use.
The camper has the original battery operated lights, you’ll just need to add a battery which stores in the included case on the tongue. It’s also been wired for shore power with two 110 outlets inside. It does have a propane tank however I haven’t tested it for leaks. The tank is an old style and should be replaced. The original water reservoir is under the bed however I haven’t used it and can’t whether or not it holds water and haven’t tested the pump faucet. It also includes a shore water connection and a sink faucet.
The rear door entry is super convenient for loading in longer items and I’ve include two scissor jack levelers which make it super stable when parked.
I replaced the tires last year and had the wheel bearings repacked at the same time. It’s been towed less than 100 miles since then.
Incredibly, I’m only the 3rd owner of this fab camper. I inherited it from my Dad who was one of the owners of the company that made the ECO fiberglass trailers back in the early 70s. He had a lifelong love of fiberglass campers and loved this Hunter. He bought it from the original owner who bought it from the Hunter Corp in Chatsworth, CA in 1974.
I hate to part with it but I just don’t use it and would like someone else to have new adventures and create fun memories.
Local pickup is preferred however we can talk about delivery if you’re interested in that option
Dimensions are:
Length 13 ft with tongue
