For sale is a well maintained and loved Casita. Weighs only 2500 lbs and never messed with a weight distribution hitch because it's so light (uses 2" ball). We absolutely love our fiberglass camper and this was our 2nd one, but were looking at getting a bunk bed model due to our growing family. Used for local camping trips in Colorado and bought from a couple in Breckenridge that barely used it. This camper is ready to go, as I just invested $1200 doing some cosmetic and general upkeep (receipt image attached). Over $500 invested in new and better looking wheels plus top of the line trailer tires. Fiberglass egg "bathtub" style construction campers like this are so built and will last so long!. No wood to get wet and rot. All the inner structure is fiberglass as well.
Upgrades I have done:
1. New aluminum wheels
2. New Maxxis M8008 trailer tires (no expense spared)
3. Wheel bearings just professionally repacked - January 2023
4. Had the worthless stabilizer's welded off and had scissor jacks welded on with the welding plate kits from here: https://littlehousecustoms.com/store.html
5. Modified shower drain to Hepvo valve which is standard on all new ones. Read about that here: https://littlehousecustoms.com/store.html
6. All propane hoses and regulator professionally replaced because they were getting dried out - January 2023
7. Two rivets for cabinets professionally replaced - January 2023
8. Front porch light replaced for cosmetic purposes - January 2023
9. Vent on outside to stove professionally replaced for cosmetic purposes - January 2023
10. Fiamma awning replaced by previous owner -vinyl in near perfect condition
11. Memory foam mattress installed into rear bed/dinette (I still have cushions)
12. This is huge, but we pulled out the original carpet on floor. Most owners put in a vinyl wood floor or similar, but we opted for a commercial rubber backed carpet tiles. This allows you to easily pick up and dry if you spill some liquid, etc. But the hard part is done if you want to put in faux wood.
13. Will provide a teak shower/bathroom floor platform. Looks nice and is functional
14. Added the utopia high rice faucet, which can be found here: https://littlehousecustoms.com/store.html
15. Added the quick winterize bypass valve for hot water heater
16. Hot water heater was replaced by previous owner and we only ever camped at campgrounds with electricity(no dirt road driving as well). Worked like a charm. But one day I was realizing it doesn't work with the gas and the switch inside when not plugged in. Professionally diagnosed last month only to realize the control module needed installed. I guess the previous owner only used it plugged in as well. Either way, it works on both propane and shore power now!
17. 7-pin round plug replaced that hooks up to tow vehicle. Trailer does have brakes. Just get the bluetooth brake controller. Works like a charm!
18. Added peel and stick backsplash to make it feel homey.
19. Air Maxx fan on roof. You can leave it open while raining and still run fan.
The only unknown and/or possibly negative I can think of is we only use the fridge when plugged in. Works great. I have never even tried to turn it on using propane. I am sure it's easy, just never wanted to burn through propane that quick I guess. I usually just plug it in my driveway, get it cold, load it up, then drive to destination and plug back in. This is the window style ac which in Colorado is great because you never use AC. Also, due to this design you have less areas of maintenance on the roof and it keeps the profile low. I believe it would fit in a 10' garage. Non microwave but storage above fridge has a spot for one with plug inside if you want to add one. We loved having the storage.
