Hi, I have a 2005 Toyota Tacoma prerunner with 6 cylinders. It does not have a brake controller. You mentioned wireless electric brakes. Do I need to have a special brake controller installed into my truck? Please get back to me because I’m really interested in purchasing your Scamp. Thank you, Calvin
You don't need the electric brake controller. It's always safer to have one. I have the same exact Scamp model and it weights under 1650 Lbs dry (w/ full propane) and I pull it with a 2016 Kia Soul 1.6 manual tranny. No issues. Wish I had your setup.
Sorry. I did not see your post. Yes, wireless brake requires not wiring in truck. Operates off brake lights.
That said, we sold it this morning. Sorry but thanks for your interest.
