SOLD - 1998 Scamp 13ft Camper - $7,900 - Edina, MN

We're selling our beloved 1998 Scamp. The kids are grown up and we just don't use it enough to justify keeping it. We've stored it inside in winter and covered it in summer (newer cover).

This is the basic layout with no bath. We replaced the rear floor two years ago and have only used the camper once since then. It needs a new front marker light. One of the burners hasn't been lighting (the other works fine). New jack. Newer Carlisle tires. Had the hitch converted to a standard 5-pin hook-up, so no adapters are needed.

We have always camped at electric sites and can hook up to the water. The previous owner never used the water tank because of the chemicals and maintenance involved. We agreed - so we removed the water tank and we've never missed it. That provides additional storage under one rear seat compartment. There is a bucket for gray water from the sink drain.

The original white/red paint job was faded and the gelcoat was gone so we had it painted Ford light blue (more resilient to UV). The refrigerator runs on gas or 110v electric. The gas heater works great.

We built the aluminum tank/battery enclosure. This seems to help mileage and looks much better. The two Yakima bicycle troughs are easily accessible. They keep the bikes bug- and mostly dirt-free on the road and are lockable. (We fit the kids' bikes inside.)

This is a great, small, light-weight camper that can sleep 4. It can easily be pulled by any vehicle with 200 hp. Also, because of its compact size it can often fit into sites barely meant as tent sites.

This is a good price for a clean, ready-to-use camper and reflects the condition, the marker light and stove burner. We would love to see it go to a family with kids, but it would be great for retirement travel too.
